The budget suite is comparable to our competitor's regular rooms but is the same layout and size of our luxury suites... so you can see it is much more spacious! Instead of a full living room, it has a small seating area. There is no kitchen in the budget suites but the bedroom and bathroom are the same as the luxury suites. Don't need a suite? Book one of our budget suites for the same price as our competitor's regular rooms and stretch out and relax! Our facility is just under a half-mile from the Lake City exit, and approximately 1 hour south of the Georgia border. Our rooms and suites are located in an interior hallways for added security. High-speed Internet access included for all suites. We have one of the largest lots for a efficiencies in Lake City, so that means ample parking for your RV's, moving vans/U-Hauls and trucks. By 1830 a white American town called Alligator was adjacent to the Seminole town. The city was incorporated and changed to its current name in 1856. The name was changed because the mayor's wife, who had recently moved to the town, refused to hang her lace curtains in a town named Alligator. The American Civil War Battle of Olustee took place near Lake City in February of 1864. Every February since 1976 Lake City has hosted the Olustee Battle Festival & Re-Enactment. Lake City also holds its Alligator Fest each October. The Suwannee River Jam falls every April and is the one of the largest country music festivals in Florida. With acts such as Trace Adkins, Dierks Bently, Aaron Tippin, the Suwannee River Jam is a major attraction for the area and our apartments is conveniently located close to all these attractions. Lake City is the headquarters for the Osceola National Forest. Lake City and Columbia County, Florida are known as "The Gateway to Florida" because Interstate 75 runs though them, carrying a large percentage of Florida's tourist and trade traffic, and Lake City is the northernmost sizable town/city in Florida on Interstate 75. We are also right at the intersection of I-75 and I-10. Although Lake City has fewer than 10,000 residents, it serves as the only significant city in Columbia County (pop. ~60,000) and is thriving and growing rapidly.
